Our Mission

Little Cocoa’s mission is simple – to create the most delicious, bespoke chocolate using only the finest quality ingredients to be enjoyed by all. We are passionate about the art of chocolate making and continuously strive to create premium chocolates and moments of delight that put smiles on our customer’s faces.

What Little Cocoa is About?

We’re here to make businesses, brides and best friends happy with our bespoke, handcrafted chocolates. Using high-quality couverture, we handcraft and refine it into fine chocolate pralines with a multitude of soft, luscious fillings, multi-layered chocolate dragées and much, much more. It’s unique, colourful and, most of all, delicious.

We know that our artisan chocolates often get given as gifts so we offer a personalised product through our custom branding options for businesses, personalised foil insignia’s for wedding gifts and Happy Birthday embossed boxes for your bestie!

The Way We Do Business

Our business is primarily transacted online through our shop, however, the bespoke nature of our work means that special orders are handled personally. From time to time we run a pop-up store from our commercial kitchen in Southport, Gold Coast.

Quality

When it comes to creating the most delicious, bespoke chocolate using only the finest quality ingredients, Little Cocoa offers uncompromised quality. We value the importance of handmade craftsmanship, ensure that our chocolates are produced perfectly, and employ strict operational measures in accordance with The Food Act 2006. Little Cocoa uses only the finest, fresh, and locally sourced ingredients to make our chocolates. This includes real fruit puree, dried fruits, fresh nuts, and creams - all free of storage extenders. Our customers can rest assured that they will be satisfied with every bite.

Couverture

Little Cocoa is passionate about the art of chocolate making. Couverture chocolate is defined by the higher percentage of cocoa butter (32-39%), and in order to be properly labelled as "couverture", the product must contain not less than 35% total dry cocoa solids. This additional cocoa butter gives our chocolate more sheen, a firmer "snap" when broken, and a creamy, mellow flavour.

Meet Alicia

The Owner & Founder of Little Cocoa

Founded by Alicia Chapman, a passionate chocolatier and a pastry chef by trade, the idea for Little Cocoa came about when Alicia was living in Germany and discovered a small bean-to-bar chocolate shop that focused on education, sustainability and supporting small-time cocoa farmers. Having worked in restaurants, high-end event spaces and catering large weddings and corporate events, Alicia saw a gap in the market for quality, bespoke and customised chocolates – and launched Little Cocoa.
